Convert a horizontal video to vertical
Most cameras film horizontally, but TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts want vertical 9:16 video. Pausiq zooms your horizontal video to fill a 1080×1920 frame, lets you drag the picture so the important part stays in view, and can remove the pauses at the same time.
Remove pauses nowFree to try in your browser. No sign-up, no upload.
How to make a horizontal video vertical
- Open Pausiq and drop in your horizontal video (MP4 or MOV).
- Under Size, choose Vertical 1080×1920. Fit is set to Zoom to fill.
- Drag the picture left or right in the preview, with a finger or the mouse, until the speaker is framed well.
- If you like, press Remove pauses, then export as MP4.
What you get
- No black bars. The video fills the whole vertical frame, centred or wherever you drag it.
- What you see is what you export. The preview shows exactly the crop that ends up in the file.
- Square and 4:5 too. 1080×1080 for feeds and 1080×1350 for portrait posts.
- Black bars if you prefer. Switch Fit to Black bars to keep the whole picture instead.
- Private. Nothing is uploaded; it all runs in your browser, on a computer or a phone.
Good to know
Zoom to fill crops the sides of a 16:9 video, so it works best when the speaker is near the middle of the shot. The frame moves left and right only, the full height of the picture is always kept, and one framing applies to the whole video.
