A simpler Descript alternative for removing pauses
Descript is a full editor built around a transcript of your recording. If what you mainly want is to take the pauses and silence out of a video or podcast, Pausiq does that one job directly in your browser: no transcript, no upload, no project to set up.

When Pausiq is the better fit
- You only need the pauses gone. Drop the file in, press Remove pauses, export.
- You record in any language. Pausiq listens for silence, so it works the same in English, Lithuanian, Spanish or any other language.
- Your recordings are private. Nothing is uploaded, which also means no waiting for uploads.
- You edit on your phone. Pausiq works in mobile browsers and saves the result to Photos on iPhone.
When Descript is the better fit
If you want to edit your video by editing text, remove filler words such as "um" and "uh", generate captions or collaborate on long projects, Descript offers much more than pause removal. Pausiq does not transcribe speech.

Questions
Will it cut off my words?
Pausiq protects the start and end of every word: it cuts only inside real silence and leaves a short, natural breath around speech. You choose how much to remove, from Natural to Super, and every cut stays visible on the timeline, so you can undo or adjust any of them.
Is Pausiq free?
You can open your files, remove pauses and preview the result for free, with no sign-up and no card. Exporting the edited file needs Pausiq Pro: €6.99 a month or €59.99 a year, VAT included, cancel at any time, full refund within 14 days.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Pausiq runs entirely in your browser. Your video and audio stay on your device; nothing is uploaded to a server, so there is no waiting for uploads and no file of yours on anyone else's computer.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Pausiq works in Safari and Chrome on iPhone, iPad and Android, as well as on Mac, Windows and Linux computers. On iPhone you can save the finished video straight to Photos.
